Mustangs end DSU men's basketball season-high winning streak

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - Dakota State overcame a slow start and rallied back in the second-half versus Morningside College in a men's basketball action Tuesday night at RVSC-Allee Gym. The Trojans fell short as the Mustangs sealed the victory down the stretch by the score of 69-62. The Mustangs ended Trojans' season-high winning streak at five games.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The Dakota State University women's basketball team traveled to RVSC-Allee Gym Tuesday night to visit the NAIA's nationally-ranked Morningside College of the Great Plains Athletic Conference. The Mustangs never trailed in the game as they defeated the Trojans 76-43.

THIS WEEK: Dakota State (15-9 overall record) looks to extend their season-high winning streak with a pair of games versus Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) opponents this week. The Trojans travel to RVSC-Allee Gym to visit Morningside (14-12, 9-8 GPAC) on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. in Sioux City, Iowa. On Saturday night, DSU returns home to play their final regular-season home contest versus Midland (15-10, 10-7 GPAC). Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at the DSU Fieldhouse.

THIS WEEK: Dakota State (6-18 overall record) plays a pair of women's basketball games from the members of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) this week. The Trojans head on the road Tuesday night at RVSC-Allee Gym to visit the nationally-ranked Morningside (20-6, 14-3 GPAC) with a game time starting at 6 p.m. On Saturday afternoon, DSU returns home at DSU Fieldhouse to host Midland (9-17, 2-15 GPAC). Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Dakota State University men's basketball team returns back to the NAIA 'Top 25' national poll as they received recognition, announced on Monday afternoon. DSU received 12 votes in the eighth edition of the NAIA Division II Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 poll. The Trojans' last appearance in the national poll was on Jan. 9.
