Dakota State capture DAC Men's Cross Country Title, Women's Fourth

RAPID CITY, S.D. - The Dakota State University cross country teams ran in the DAC Championship meet at the Robbinsdale Park Friday, hosted by South Dakota School of Mines. The men's cross country team made history as they captured their first ever DAC Conference championship. The women's team finished fourth.

The Dakota State University football team will travel to Fargo, N.D. for their final game of the season on Sunday. The Trojans will attempt for their second straight victory as they face Mayville State for the second time this season. DSU defeated the Comets last Saturday at the Trojan Field, 42-7. The game will be held at the FargoDome at 9:00 a.m.

Jamestown is the top seed for the DAC Volleyball postseason tournament, which begins on Saturday, Nov. 7th. The Jimmies are undefeated in DAC conference play with a 14-0 record and will host eighth seed Dakota State at 7:00 p.m. (CT). The match will be available on b2 Networks.

MAYVILLE, N.D. - Fighting for the higher seed in the rugged DAC volleyball standings, the Trojan volleyball team traveled to Mayville State Wednesday night. The Trojans lost in a thrilling five-set to the Comets - 25-21, 13-25, 21-25, 25-23, 15-13. The loss dropped the Trojans to eighth seed for the DAC Volleyball postseason tournament. Mayville State has the sixth seed in the tournament.

The Dakota State University men's cross country team remained in eighth edition of NAIA Men's Cross Country "Top 25" poll, released Wednesday. The Trojans are tied with Oklahoma Baptist at No. 20 spot with 255 votes.

MADISON, S.D. - The Dakota State University women's basketball team played their first home game Tuesday night at the DSU Fieldhouse. The Trojans faced University of Sioux Falls, No. 15 in the NAIA Preseason Women's Basketball Poll. DSU jumped to a 36-26 halftime lead with a 54.5 percent first-half shooting performance and held on for a 67-48 upset win over the Cougars.
