Why should you join the Trojan Athletic Club?

The Trojan Athletic Club raises money exclusively for athletic scholarships.  When you join the club, at any giving level, your donation goes directly into scholarships for deserving student-athletes.  Scholarships help our teams stay competitive and continue the tradition of excellence that is synonymous with Dakota State.

  • Currently, DSU scholarship support provides less than 50% of the maximum allowed by the NAIA for the majority of teams at DSU.  Without adequate scholarship support, it is difficult to recruit high caliber local and regional athletes to DSU.
  • The dollars available for scholarship support correlate strongly with the success of the athletic program.
  • Your support will help bridge the gap between currently scholarship opportunities and where we need to be to attain the next level of success for our athletic programs.
  • Scholarships relieve a student's financial burden by allowing him/her more time to concentrate on academics and athletics.

Can a donor support a specific sport in the Trojan Athletic Club?

Yes.  Gifts may be designated to a specific sport.  Donors are also welcome to make their gifts undesingated so they can be applied to the athletic program with the greatest scholarship need.
