The Dakota State University women's and men's indoor track and field teams are eager to open their season on Saturday. The first running event begins at 10:30 a.m. with the women's 1000-meter run followed by the men's at approximately 10:45 a.m. The final event of the day is the 4 x 400-meter relay with the women's at 3:20 and men's at 3:45 p.m.
Most schools from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) - Dordt, Morningside, Mount Marty, Northwestern (Iowa), Briar Cliff, Dakota Wesleyan and University of Sioux Falls - along with Dakota State are expected to compete in the meet.
