MADISON, S.D. – Mark Moeller of Dakota State (S.D.) was chosen by the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) as its Men's Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week, the second edition of the weekly honors were announced Tuesday. Since there's were no nominees to the first edition of the NSAA Men's Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week, Moeller became the first NSAA recipient to receive the weekly award.
Moeller finished third in the men's 400-meter dash at the Red Raiders Invitational, hosted by Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa on April 17. The race featured 34 runners. Moeller clocked a personal best time of 49.36 seconds, just 0.8 seconds short of recording a national qualifying time.
Mark is the son of Jon and Ginger Moeller of Hankinson, N.D. He is a sophomore Physical Education major at Dakota State University.
Dakota State continues their busy schedule as they compete in the Mount Marty (S.D.) Twilight Meet Tuesday afternoon (today). The first event kicks off at 2 p.m. with the hammer throw at the Williams Field on the campus of Yankton High School in Yankton, S.D.
