The Dakota State University softball team returns home Wednesday evening as the Trojans host their in-state rival University of Sioux Falls. The non-conference doubleheader will start at 5 p.m. at the Thue Softball Complex in Madison, S.D.
The Trojans are 8-23 overall record and 3-13 in the DAC conference this season. USF has won their last four games and is 6-20 overall. USF and DSU split their doubleheader in Sioux Falls on March 25th. The Cougars won game one 4-3 in nine innings and the Trojans rallied with a four-run seventh inning to defeat USF 4-3 in game two.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Trojans will continue their DAC conference schedule on the road. DSU will travel to Jamestown for a four-game series. The doubleheader starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The Jimmies are 22-10 overall this season and 6-2 in the DAC. Jamestown plays at Valley City State on Tuesday and hosts NCAA Division II University of Mary on Thursday.
