HUTCHINSON, Kan. -  The Dakota State University baseball coaching staff nominated Andy Lee for the NAIA Champions of Character award.  The award was presented Tuesday evening at the banquet prior to the NAIA Baseball National Championships Opening Round.

The NAIA 'Champions of Character' initiative creates an environment in which every NAIA student-athlete, coach, official and spectator is committed to the true spirit of competition through respect, integrity, responsibility, servant leadership and sportsmanship.

Andy is the son of Jeff an JoAnn Lee of Brookings, S.D.  He is a sophomore Physical Education major at Dakota State University.

Dakota State (28-26 overall record) kicks off the national tournament versus Tabor (41-13) at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson, Kan.  First pitch is set for 11 a.m.  Live video and live stats coverage are available, check on www.dsuathletics.com for more information.
