MADISON, S.D. - Two Dakota State University netters are listed in the DSU Volleyball record book after the completion of 2012 volleyball season.
Kristen DiPaola - 5-foot-10-inch senior outside hitter - accumulated a total of 591 kills during the 2012 season, which is the second most kills in a single season in DSU volleyball record book (Sophie Balough currently holds the most kills in a single season with 680 kills during the 1994-95 season).
According to the DakStats-NAIA statistical website as of Thursday, DiPaola ranks second in kills per set with an average of 5.1 kills and fifth in total kills (591).
DiPaola, two-time Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) All-Conference selection, was listed five times in the Trojan Volleyball record book for most kills in a single match. She was tied for second with 30 kills in a match twice at Mount Marty (S.D.) on Sept. 5 and versus Mayville State (N.D.) on Sept. 22. DiPaola racked up 28 kills in a match three times versus Peru State on Sept. 1, Mount Marty on Sept. 17 and Dakota Wesleyan on Sept. 26. DiPaola currently holds the most kills in a single match with 31 kills at Mount Marty on Sept. 20, 2011.
Kristen is the daughter of Michael and Mary Beth DiPaola of Trinidad, Colo. She is studying Business Management at Dakota State University.
Stacey Schuller - 5'7" sophomore setter - amasses a total of 2440 set assists during her career at Dakota State. As a result, she records the third most career assists in the Trojan Volleyball record book. Schuller produced a total of 1087 assists this season and 1353 assists during her freshman year. Jill Weisser currently holds the school record for most career assists with 3150 from 2000 to 2004 (Katalin Varga is second with 2904 assists from 1994 to 1998).
Stacey is the daughter of Tom and Deb Schuller of Jackson, Minn. She is majoring in Elementary Education at Dakota State University.
