Volleyball - Tue, Aug. 14, 2012

MADISON, S.D.  - The Dakota State University volleyball team opened up the 2012 season with its first practice on Monday.  The Trojans are under the guidance of head coach Amy Veenhof, assisted by Megan Kusler.

Dakota State is in their second year membership with the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.).

The Trojans have eight players returning from last year's team, which qualified to the A.I.I. conference postseason tournament in Phoenix, Ariz.  DSU have seven new faces this year.

Dakota State opens their 2012 schedule at home on Friday, Aug. 24.  The Trojans host Briar Cliff (Iowa) - a member from the Great Plains Athletic Conference.  First serve is set for 7 p.m. at DSU Fieldhouse.
