Dakota State University head volleyball coach Amy Veenhof is proud to announce the signing of Brianna Tuenge as the newest member of the 2011 DSU volleyball team.
Tuenge, a 5'8" outside hitter, recorded 256 kills, 60 ace serves and 426 digs in her senior season for Harrisburg High School.
Tuenge had a stellar volleyball career as a Tiger. As a junior, she was named to the '4A' All-Region team and was All-Conference honorable mention. She was named to the '4A' All-Region team again in 2010 as well as being an All-Conference selection and earning All-State honorable mention. Tuenge was the recipient of her team's 'Best Back Row' and 'Outstanding Hitter' awards in both her junior and senior seasons.
"I am pleased that Brianna chosen to continue her volleyball career as a Trojan," said Veenhof. "She has an excellent fundamental base of skills and is very athletic. I am very excited to see her grow as a player over the next four years. Brianna is a good student and teammate. I know that our program and school will benefit from Brianna's involvement."
Brianna is the daughter of Eric and LeAnn Thompson. She plans to major in Physical Education at Dakota State University.
