The Dakota State University Trojan volleyball team hosts Dakota Wesleyan in a non-conference match on Wednesday night. The Trojans will be hosting their second annual 'Dig Pink' night. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at the DSU Fieldhouse.
Dakota Wesleyan is 8-18 overall record. DWU is currently on a four-match losing streak. The Tigers play at Dordt (Iowa) Tuesday (tonight). Dakota State is 10-16 overall record and had won three of the last four matches. The Trojans started their DAC's second half schedule with a 2-0 record in the Black Hills. DSU swept 3-0 at SD Mines and recorded a 3-2 win at the defending DAC postseason tournament champions Black Hills State.
In both teams' last meeting on Sept. 28, 2010 at Dakota Wesleyan, the Trojans won the first two sets by an identical score of 25-19. The Tigers won the final three sets (25-14, 25-15 and 15-11) to secure a 3-2 win.
DSU is 4-7 against teams from the Great Plains Athletic Conference. DWU is 2-5 versus teams in the DAC.
