The Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) has selected DSU's Ashley Schulte as Hitter of the Week for the week of September 20-26.
Schulte, a senior middle hitter from Emery, S.D., recorded a .722 killing efficiency and 13 kills with two block assists in a 3-0 sweep over Mount Marty on Wednesday. She had 14 kills with a .444 killing percentage in a 3-1 win over Valley City State on Friday. In addition, she had a solo block and four assists in the victory. On Saturday against Jamestown, Schulte produced 10 kills with a killing efficiency of .588 in a tough 3-1 loss (which each set was decided by two points). She also added a solo block and four block assists.
For the week, Schulte hit .565 with 37 kills (3.36 per set), five digs (0.45 per set), two solo blocks and 10 block assists.
Ashley is the daughter of Mark and Michele Schulte. She is an Exercise Science major at Dakota State University.
