MADISON, S.D. - The Dakota State University Lady T's basketball head coach Jeff Dittman is proud to announce the signing Kayla Kruse to join the Lady T's basketball program this coming fall.

Kruse, a six-footer post from Lennox High School, was a three-year starter.  She earned the Powerade Rookie of the Year in her sophomore year.  She was selected to Most Improved award and Unsung Hero Award twice.  She holds the freshman season scoring record at Lennox High School.  Kruse also lettered in volleyball where was named to All-Conference, selected as Most Valuable Player, Powerade Rookie of the Year and Unsung Hero Award.

Kruse averages 14.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.9 steals per game at Lennox High School.  She was coached under Dan DeVries.

Kruse was named as 'Student of the Month' twice during her high school career.

Kayla is the daughter of Paul and Laurie Kruse of Lennox, S.D.  She will graduate from Lennox High School this spring and plans to study Respiratory Care at Dakota State University.
