Dakota State University head women's basketball coach Joe Reints is proud to announce the signings of Chelsey Schake and Kylie Westover. They will join the Trojan women's basketball team in 2010-2011 season.
Schake comes from Deuel High School in Clear Lake, S.D. She was the team captain in her senior year, and averaged 5.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game during her career. Schake was a letter winner in basketball, volleyball, track and golf. She received the Deuel Academic Award for three years and is listed on the honor roll. Chelsey is the daughter of Kendall and Brenda Schake of Clear Lake, S.D.
Westover will graduate from Colman-Egan High School this spring. She was selected to All-Conference team and posted her 1000th career point in her senior year. She amassed 1,214 points and recorded 201 career 3-pointers. She averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals per game in her career at Colman-Egan. Westover was a member of the South Dakota High School state tournament team for three years. She also lettered in cross country and golf. Kylie is the daughter of Rich and Kelley Westover of Colman, S.D.
