WAYNE, Neb. - Anthony Drealan - current Dakota State University assistant cross country, track & field coach - claimed the men's 1500-meter run title at the Wayne State Open on March 30. The meet was held at the WSC Memorial Track.
A total of 17 runners from all levels competed in the 1500-meters race. A former two-time NAIA All-American distance runner at Dakota State, Drealan (unattached runner) clocked a time of four minutes and 1.52 seconds to win the individual event.
DSU's Andy Quenzer ran the men's 400-meter dash at the WSC Open. He recorded a time of 53.73 seconds for a 17th-place finish.
Dakota State opens their 2013 outdoor track and field season on Saturday. The Trojans compete in the Vance Butler Invitational, hosted by Augustana College (S.D.). The meet will be held at the Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
