Track & Field - Wed, Jun. 27, 2012

MADISON, S.D. - Dakota State University track and field head coach Buzz Stevenson is pleased to announce the signing of Seth Boomsma of Tri-Valley High School.  He will join the track and field team this coming school year (2012-13).

Boomsma had a tremendous high school track career at Tri-Valley High School.  He captured the individual titles in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes at the 2011 State Class 'A' Track meet (fastest times in all three classes).

Boomsma holds school records in six different events.  He recorded a time of 10.50 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 21.28 seconds in the 200-meters race.

"We are very excited to have Seth join our track and field team," said Stevenson.  "We are looking for great things from Seth over the next four years."

Seth is the son of Terry and Stacey Boomsma of Crooks, S.D.  He plans to major in Exercise Science.
