The Dakota State University baseball team will make their second straight trip to the Post 22 Field in Rapid City, S.D. on Saturday. The Trojans will face Dickinson State in a Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) doubleheader. It was originally scheduled to play in Dickinson, N.D., but the wet field playing conditions forced to relocate the games.
DSU is 3-27 overall record and 1-11 in the DAC. The Trojans suffered a four-game series sweep from Minot State last weekend in Rapid City, S.D. Dickinson State is 17-9 overall. The Blue Hawks are in a sole possession for first-place in the DAC conference with a 9-1 record. Dickinson State swept Jamestown 5-4 and 13-3 on April 16.
Dakota State and Dickinson State split their four-game series last year at the Flynn Field in Madison, S.D. They split their doubleheader on May 1, 2010 with the Blue Hawks winning the first game 6-4 and the Trojans won the second game 10-9. On May 2, 2010, Dickinson State took the first game 7-6, as the Trojans won the second game by the score of 3-2.
