FOREST CITY, Iowa – Dakota State (S.D.) won their third straight volleyball match Friday evening with a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 25-12 and 25-16) over Central Baptist (Ark.) in the first match of the Waldorf (Iowa) Triangular at Hansen Fieldhouse. The Trojans struggled in the nightcap against host-team Waldorf in three straight sets (25-14, 25-18 and 25-20) and earned a split against members of the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC).
Dakota State's current overall record stands at 8-23. Central Baptist dropped to 3-22 overall record. Waldorf improved their overall record to 21-20.

DSI hit a season-high .363 as the Trojans dominated the Mustangs in three straight sets to kick off the triangular. The Trojans outhit CBC 40-23 and held the Mustangs to a dismal .011 hitting percentage.
Viesselman and Anderson each hit an impressive .455 hitting efficiency in the match. Pick recorded a hitting percentage of .385.
Katherine Gonzalez recorded a match-high 17 digs for DSU.
Anderson set a season-high five service aces for the Trojans. Gonzalez added two aces.
Weeldreyer (a solo block and 3 block assists) and Michele Rogers (2 solo blocks and a block assist) each had 2.5 blocks for Dakota State.
Samantha Tillman led the Mustangs with six kills. Tiffani Curtwright recorded 19 assists.
Katelyn Woods had 11 digs for Central Baptist.
The Mustangs committed 22 attack errors in 95 attempts in the match compared to the Trojans' 11 attack errors in 80 attempts.
DSU had eight service aces while CBC had five service aces.
The Trojans had 41 digs compared to the Mustangs' 27 digs. DSU had six blocks in the match.

Dakota State could not extend their winning streak as they struggled with a .059 hitting percentage in a 3-0 loss (25-14, 25-18 and 25-20) to host-team Waldorf.
DSU's Pick posted her eighth double digits kills in the last 12 matches. She had 11 kills in the match and hit .348. Weeldreyer and Kylie Martin each added three kills.
Schuller produced 15 set assists for the Trojans. Vander Wal added six assists.
Gonzalez led the Trojans' defense with 11 digs. Chelsey Davis added seven digs.
Aby Emiru had a double-double of 16 kills and 13 digs for the Warriors. Meagan Macias added 11 kills. Becca Flavin recorded 29 assists, while her teammate CheyAnne Maxwell added 17 assists.
Kendra Stokke had 19 digs for Waldorf. Carlee VonHoldt added 11 digs.
The Warriors hit .227 in the match. Waldorf outhit the Trojans 52-22.
DSU had 4.5 blocks compared to WC 4.0 blocks.
Dakota State plays their final regular-season match on Tuesday. The Trojans welcome in-state rival University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) – a member of NCAA Division II and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference – in a non-conference match. First serve from the DSU Fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m.
