The Dakota State University baseball team faces Valley City State in both teams' Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) season opener this weekend.  Due to snow-covered and wet field conditions in Valley City, N.D., the four-game series were forced to move to Bellevue, Neb. on Friday and Saturday.

The game times will be announced on a later time.

DSU is 1-15 overall record.  The Trojans notched their first win of the season on March 24 with a 6-1 non-conference victory over in-state rival Mount Marty.  Valley City State is 6-7 overall and defeated Benedictine-Springfield (Ill.) 5-3 on March 19.

Dakota State and Valley City State met five times last season, all won by DSU.  The Trojans defeated the Vikings 9-3 in the DAC Preseason Tournament in Spearfish, S.D. on March 28, 2010.  DSU took the four-game series from VCSU at the Flynn Field on April 2 (11-10 and 10-1) and April 3, 2010 (29-19 and 6-4).
