MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State University Athletics will be recognizing Tammy Miller on Wednesday evening in DSU's basketball conference opener at DSU Fieldhouse.
Dakota State is scheduled to host Presentation (S.D.) in both teams' first-ever North Star Athletic Association conference game. The women's game is set to tip off at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Miller will serve as the DSU honorary captain prior to the opening tip-off of the men's basketball game.
She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Madison Community Hospital. The Madison Community Hospital is one of the founding sponsors for the Dakota State University Athletics initiative that provided scoreboards at each of our sporting venues as well as video and message boards at the Fieldhouse and football stadium. They are also a sponsor of the message board on the corner of Washington Avenue and 2nd Street.
Tammy graduated from Dakota State University with an Associate Degree in Office Management in 1978 and later a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Business Education in 1987. She received her Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota in 1997.
Tammy and her husband Mike (a DSU alum) reside in Madison and have three children (Trent, Todd and Brian). They are both strong supporters of DSU Athletics. Dakota State University is very fortunate and thankful to have the support of Tammy Miller and the Madison Community Hospital.
