In addition, he holds the school record for most yards passing in a single game.
Giles was listed on the Argus Leader's 'Elite 45' list, featuring the best football players in the state of South Dakota.
He was selected to play in the South Dakota All-Star football game this coming summer.
He was also earned Academic All-State for his academic accomplishments in the classroom.
"Jacob is very poised beyond his years and will come in ready to compete," said Anderson. "He does a great job of delivering the football on target, as well as extending plays with his legs. I like that he is not only a great athlete in multiple sports, but he is also very academically gifted. Jacob is a competitor in everything he does, which is what I like the most!"
Jacob is the son of Chris and Karen Giles of Madison, S.D. His parents are both alumni of Dakota State and his dad, Chris also played football for the Trojans. Jacob was coached by MHS head coach Max Hodgen, a three-time NAIA All-American linebacker alumnus for the Trojans. Jacob plans to major in English.
