THIS WEEK: The Dakota State University Lady T's basketball team (11-17 overall record, 3-3 North Star Athletic Association conference record) concludes their regular-season schedule against a pair of nationally-ranked teams and top two teams in the NSAA conference. The Lady T's visit No. 12 Mayville State (N.D.) (21-3, 6-1 NSAA) Wednesday evening at Lewy Lee Fieldhouse. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. in Mayville, N.D. On Saturday, DSU returns home to welcome No. 3 Jamestown (N.D.) (23-2, 5-1 NSAA) at DSU Fieldhouse. Parents and Seniors Night will be held. The game is slated to start at 4 p.m. in Madison, S.D.
PARENTS/SENIORS NIGHT: Saturday's game marks the Parents/Seniors Night for the Lady T's basketball team. Prior to the game with less than 10 minutes in warm-ups, the Lady T's will be recognizing each players' parents on the center court as part of Parents' Night. After the completion of the game, the Lady T's basketball team will be recognizing their five seniors during Senior Night ceremony as they play their final regular-season career collegiate basketball game at DSU Fieldhouse—Alyson Drooger, Courtney Hamblin, Cassie Jacobsen, Julie Munson, and Kylie Westover.
MOVING UP: Dakota State moved up to third-place in the North Star Athletic Association women's basketball conference standings with a 71-64 victory over Valley City State (N.D.) on Feb. 15. The Lady T's hold the sole possession of third-place in the conference standings as the Vikings dropped to fourth with a 2-4 conference record. Mayville State (N.D.) holds the top spot in the conference standings with a half-game lead over Jamestown (N.D.).
11 WINS FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2008: The Lady T's recorded their 11th win on Feb. 15 after a seven-point victory over NSAA's foe Valley City State (N.D.) at DSU Fieldhouse. DSU had five more victories than 2012-13 season (6 total wins). The last time the Lady T's had 11 wins in a season was during the 2007-08 season (DSU recorded their 11th victory of the season after defeating Black Hills State 72-64 on Jan. 18, 2008).
LADY T'S & DROOGER CONTINUE BLOCKS DOMINANCE: Dakota State continues their dominance in the nation in blocked shots. According to the NAIA-DakStats statistical website as of Tuesday, the Lady T's lead the nation in total blocks with 184 and blocks per game (6.6). Alyson Drooger leads the nation with 128 total blocks and averages 4.6 blocks per game for Dakota State. She already broke a DSU school record for most blocks in a single season—previously held by Maria Gengler with 102 blocks during the 2007-08 season. Drooger also holds the school record for most blocks in a single game with 12 blocks in 54-53 victory at McPherson (Kan.) on Jan. 3.
REGIONALLY SPEAKING: The North Star Athletic Association weekly rankings had been remained the same for the ninth consecutive week. Jamestown (N.D.) holds the No. 1 spot with an overall record of 23-2. Mayville State (N.D.) is second with 21-3 overall record, followed by Valley City State (N.D.) (12-10 overall record) at No. 3, Dakota State (S.D.) at No. 4 (11-17 overall record) and Presentation (S.D.) at No. 5 spot (4-20 overall record). The weekly rankings are used to rank the teams in the weekly NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Coaches' 'Top 25' national poll, which is released every Tuesday afternoon.
LAST TIME OUT: Dakota State recorded their second straight victory on Feb. 15 as they defeated Valley City State (N.D.) 71-64 at DSU Fieldhouse. It was the fourth time this season that DSU had recorded a two-game winning streak. Mayville State (N.D.) won a pair of North Star road contests last week, defeating Valley City State (N.D.) 87-65 on Feb. 12 and Presentation (S.D.) 94-55 on Feb. 15. Jamestown (N.D.) won their fifth straight game after defeating the Saints 93-56 in NSAA conference action on Feb. 12 in Jamestown, N.D.
LAST MEETING: Mayville State (N.D.) won the last meeting with the Lady T's with a 93-62 victory at DSU Fieldhouse on Jan. 29. The Comets drained a total of 14 3-pointers and never trailed in the game. Jamestown had won their 12th straight meeting over DSU with an 88-44 victory at the Civic Center in Jamestown, N.D. on Feb. 5. The last time the Lady T's defeated Jamestown was on Jan. 10, 2009 by the score of 70-68. At that time, the Jimmies were ranked No. 4 in the national poll.
QUICK LEADERS: Kylie Westover leads the Lady T's with 13.2 points per game and shoots 37.3 percent from the field. She ranks 41st in the nation in total 3-point field goals made with 59. Alyson Drooger leads DSU in three different categories—5.9 rebounds (165 total rebounds), 2.3 assists (63 total assists) and 4.6 blocks (128 total blocks) per game. BreeAna Olson records 53 steals this season and averages 1.9 steals per game.

The postseason tournament continues through a pair of semifinals games on Sunday, March 1 (at two highest seeds remaining).
