MADISON, S.D. – Five different Dakota State University Lady T's basketball players are listed in the school record book. Numerous records set by Kylie Westover and Alyson Drooger highlighted in the Lady T's basketball record book.
Westover finished her four-year stellar career by racking up a total of 1,403 points. Her total career points ranks fourth in the Lady T's basketball record book. In addition, she made 504 field goals (fourth-best career field goals made in the record book) and 237 3-point field goals made (second-best career 3-point field goals).
Westover scored 427 points during the 2013-14 season, which is ninth best in a single season scoring. She drained a total of 71 3-pointers, third best in the Lady T's record book for most 3-pointers in a single season.
Westover broke the DSU school record book for best free-throw percentage in a single season (minimum 50 free throw attempts). She was 50-for-57 from the free-throw line for a percentage of 87.7 percent. The previous old mark was set by Maria Bergan during the 1992-93 season where she was 44-for-51 from the free-throw line (86 percent).
Westover tied for eight-most 3-point field goals in a single game twice this season. She made six 3-pointers versus Briar Cliff (Iowa) on Jan. 15 and at Mayville State (N.D.) on Feb. 19.
Alyson Drooger shattered a new DSU Lady T's record for most blocked shots in a single season. She piled up a total of 139 blocks, breaking the old record mark set by Maria Gengler with 102 blocks in 2007-08. Drooger is second in career blocked shots with 212 blocks (from 2012-14), where Gengler holds the Lady T's record with 264 blocks from 2004-08.
Drooger owns the Lady T's school record for most blocks in a single game. She recorded 12 blocked shots at McPherson on Jan. 3, breaking her previous record with 11 blocks set on Dec. 5, 2012 versus Mount Marty (S.D.). In addition, she tied for the fourth-most blocks in a single game with nine vs. Martin Luther (Minn.) on Dec. 14.
Drooger had eight blocks in a single game four times (at Wisconsin-Stout on Nov. 29, versus Morningside, Iowa on Dec. 7, versus Bethel, Kan. on Jan. 4 and at Jamestown, N.D. on Feb. 5) in 2012-13, which is tied for sixth most blocked shots in a single game. She is tied for 10th-most blocks with seven in three different occasions – at Trinity Bible (N.D.) on Dec. 10, versus Morningside on Dec. 31 and versus Valley City State (N.D.) on Feb. 15.
Drooger is seventh for best free-throw percentage in a single season, converting 42 free-throws in 51 attempts (82.4 percent).
BreeAna Olson tied for ninth most free throws made a single game in the Lady T's basketball record book. She nailed down 11 free-throws versus Valley City State on Feb. 15.
Three different DSU Lady T's basketball players tied for ninth-best free-throw percentage in a single game (minimum of 5 free throw attempts), making all six free-throws attempts. They are Westover at Briar Cliff on Dec. 30, Sharee Galbraith twice versus Briar Cliff on Jan. 15 and versus Mayville State on Jan. 29 and Drooger versus Jamestown on Feb. 22.
Cassie Jacobsen is fifth in the Lady T's basketball record book for best career free-throw percentage. She converted 193 free-throws in 258 attempts for a percentage of 74.8 percent.
As a team, Dakota State scored the sixth most total points in a single season. The Lady T's recorded 2,210 total points in 2012-13.
DSU finished their 2013-14 campaign with 12 victories, the most victories for the first time since the 2007-08 season.
