MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State University football, under the direction of sixth-year head coach Josh Anderson, is currently in full swing for spring practice at the Trojan Field.
The DSU Trojan Football will be hosting the alumni weekend and spring scrimmage game on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. There will be a 7 on 7 tournament on Friday evening, April 25 at 5 p.m. for current DSU students and past DSU alumni football players combined. The tournament format will include three games of round-robin style play on the first day (April 25) and continues through on the second day (April 26) with a single-elimination tournament format, starting at 9 a.m. The tournament will be seeded from the Friday's night round robin game results. The winning team in the tournament will receive a prize.
There will be a social for the DSU Football alumni on Friday night, April 25. The location have not yet been determined.

The annual DSU football spring game will be held on Saturday afternoon, April 26. The scrimmage game will feature the Trojans' offense against the Trojans' defense. Kick-off from the Trojan Field is set for 2:30 p.m.
Dakota State finished their inaugural North Star Athletic Association football conference schedule with a 2-2 record in 2013. The Trojans were just one game behind NSAA's co-leaders Jamestown (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) with a 3-1 record.
