MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State University head volleyball coach Amy Veenhof is pleased to announce the addition of Ashley Olson.  She will graduate from Luverne High School (Minn.) this spring and plans to continue her education and volleyball career at Dakota State in the fall.

Olson, five-foot-five setter, was the Cardinals' team leader in assists her junior and senior seasons.  She produced a total of 211 assists, 22 kills, 17 service aces and 118 digs in her senior year.  She was selected to the Coke Unsung Hero award. 

Olson, a four-year letter winner in volleyball, also lettered in softball where she was a two-time All-Conference selections and two-time Most Valuable Player.  In addition, she lettered in gymnastics.

Olson is on the 'A' Honor Roll at Luverne High School.

Ashley is the daughter of Jeremy and Stacy Olson of Hardwick, Minn.  She plans to study Health Information Administration at Dakota State University.
