MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State University volleyball head coach Amy Veenhof is excited to announce the signing of Hannah Bauer from Dakota Valley High School.  She will graduate from high school this month and continue her education and volleyball career at Dakota State University in the fall.

Two-time team captain Bauer, 5-foot-6 outside hitter/defensive specialist, was a member of the Dakota Valley team that captured the 2013 Class 'A' Volleyball State title.   She was selected to the State All-Tournament team.  In addition, she was chosen as the team's most valuable player and received the most improved award.

During her senior season, Bauer accumulated 303 digs, 236 kills, 85 service aces, 10 blocks, and a service percentage of 86.

Bauer was on the Honor Roll list at Dakota Valley High School. 

Hannah is the daughter of Larry and Dee Bauer of McCook Lake, S.D.  She plans to major in Elementary/Special Education at Dakota State University.
