MADISON, S.D. – The Dakota State University football team began their fall camp this week at Trojan Field. Over 90 football players reported to fall camp. Josh Anderson will be entering his sixth season as the Trojan Football head coach.
Dakota State is a member of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) conference. The NSAA, which started with five charter members in 2013-14 including DSU, Jamestown (N.D.), Mayville State (N.D.), Presentation (S.D.) and Valley City State (N.D), added two new members to the conference this year – Dickinson State (N.D.) and Waldorf (Iowa) (football-only conference).
The Trojans had set their football media/picture day on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. They are scheduled to take place at Trojan Field.
Dakota State, which finished tied for third-place in the inaugural NSAA Football conference last season with a 2-2 record (one game behind co-leaders), is slated to kick off their 2014 season at home on Saturday, Aug. 30. The Trojans welcome Mayville State (N.D.) in NSAA conference game. Kick-off is set for 6 p.m. at Trojan Field.
