MADISON, S.D. – The Dakota State University softball team added a signed recruit to their 2015 class, head coach Ken Prorok announced Thursday.
Harley Lindell comes from Armstrong-Ringsted High School where she was a first-team All-Conference after hitting 17 doubles, 7 home runs, .410 batting average and .771 slugging percentage in 2012. She was a four-sport standout (volleyball, basketball, track and softball) and was a member of the 1A State Runner-up in 2011. She was listed on the principal's honor roll and was a member of band, honor band and National Honor Society.
During her first two collegiate career at North Iowa Area Community College, Lindell was named to NJCAA Region IX Honorable Mention. She set the school record for most hit-by-pitch in a single season. She was a two-time All-Academic All-Region First Team and was named to National Fastpitch Coaches' Association NJCAA All-American Scholar-Athlete. She was a member of Phil Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Harley is the daughter of Tom and Janell Lindell of Ringsted, Iowa.
