MADISON, S.D. – The brackets for the 2015 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Postseason Baseball Tournament are set.  Dickinson State (N.D.) will be this year's conference tournament host site, which the tournament starts on Friday, May 1, 2015 and runs through May 4, 2015 at Astoria Field in Dickinson, N.D.

Mayville State (N.D.) (33-18 overall record) and Jamestown (N.D.) (31-14) shared the NSAA Baseball regular-season title with a 15-5 record.  The Comets and Jimmies split their four-game series this season.  MSU owns the tiebreaker after taking three of four games with No. 3 seed Valley City State (N.D.) (29-23 overall record, 10-10 NSAA), while UJ went 2-2 record against the Vikings.

Mayville State will be the top-seed when the 2015 NSAA Baseball Championship opens on Friday, May 1.  The tournament kicks off with No. 2 seed Jamestown taking on No. 5 seed Presentation (S.D.) (15-39, 6-14 NSAA) at 1 p.m. (Central Time)/12 p.m. (Mountain Time). 

The other two opening round games included Valley City State playing No. 4 seed Dakota State (S.D.) (15-34, 9-11 NSAA) at 4 p.m. (CT)/3 p.m. (MT).  In the nightcap at 7 p.m. (CT)/6 p.m. (MT), No. 6 seed Dickinson State (N.D.) (16-29, 5-15 NSAA) will play against the top-seed MSU.

The NSAA tournament will be played according to the NAIA-Baseball Coaches' Association Six-Team Double-Elimination Bracket.  The tournament champion receives an automatic berth to the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round, which will be played on May 11-14 at nine different campus announced by the NAIA. 

The postseason runs through Monday, May 4 with the championship game.  Pairings may need to be adjusted after the outcomes of Game 5 and 6 on Saturday.  All games are nine (9) innings with 10-run mercy rule after 7 innings.  There will be no 10-run rule in the championship game.

Game 11:  Game 10 winner vs. Game 10 winner – 4 p.m. (CT)/3 p.m. (MT) (If necessary if Game 7 winner suffer first loss in Game 10) Winner advances to 2014 NAIA Baseball National Tournament Opening Round on May 11-14
