VANCOUVER, Wash. - Andy Coy ran his career best-place finisher at the 57th Annual NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championship meet Saturday at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.   It was Coy's final career collegiate cross country meet at DSU.

Coy finished the 8K course with a 55th place finish with a time of 25 minutes and 43 seconds.  A total of 309 runners competed in the national meet.

John Gilbertson of The Master's (Calif.) captured the individual title with a time of 23:56.  Saint Francis (Ill.) won the team title with 138 points.

Coy finished his career collegiate cross country as he was named to All-Conference three times.  In addition, he ran in three consecutive NAIA Men's Cross Country Championship meets since he joined with the Trojans.

Andy is the son of Rusty and Cindy Coy of Hill City, S.D.  He is a senior Biology major at Dakota State University.
