MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State University (S.D.) head cross country and track & field coach Anthony Drealan is pleased to announce the addition of Mitchell Peters.  He will graduate from Lennox High School this spring and continue his education and running career this fall at Dakota State University.

Peters qualified for the South Dakota Class 'A' Cross Country State Championships for three consecutive years.  His best place finish was 19th.

He was also a state qualifier for the 2015 South Dakota Class 'A' State Track & Field Championships, finishing fifth in the 3200-meter run.  He was also a member of the 4 x 800-meter relay team that finished fifth.

Peters clocked his personal best times of 4 minutes, 47 seconds in the 1600-meter run and 10 minutes, 23 seconds in the 3200-meter run.  He recorded his personal record of 17 minutes, 4 seconds in the 5K run.

Mitchell is the son of Troy and Mary Peters of Lennox, S.D.  He plans to major in Cyber Operations at Dakota State University.
