Game 3 – Dakota State (S.D.) 10, Dickinson State (N.D.) 2 – FINAL

Osborne hit an RBI double to score Young (who led-off with hit-by-pitch), giving the Blue Hawks a 1-0 lead in the top first in the third game of tripleheader.

The Trojans exploded for six runs in the bottom second frame.  DaSU tied the game at 1-1 after DiSU committed defensive errors.  With bases full and no outs, Boyd recorded an RBI walk to score Colman for Trojans' 2-1 lead.

Hofer hit a grand slam – his fourth home run of the season and his third home run on the day – as Dakota State propelled to a 6-1 lead in the bottom second.

DaSU added three more runs in the bottom third inning as they widen their lead up to seven runs.  Jorgensen was hit-by-pitch, followed by Colman's RBI triple to score Jorgensen for 7-1 DaSU lead.  The Trojans made it 8-1 after Arlt produced an RBI to score Colman.

Hofer added an RBI single with two outs to score Arlt as the Trojans' lead grew to 9-1 in the bottom third.

Dakota State hit three consecutive singles to open up the bottom sixth inning to add a run to their lead.  Poncia led off with a single, followed by Harris' single to advance Hesse (pinch runner for Poncia) to third base.  Jorgensen hit an RBI single to score Hesse for 10-1 Trojans' lead.

MacKay recorded an RBI single in the top seventh inning, but Dakota State secured the nightcap.

Hofer went 2-of-4 at the plate with a home run, single and drove in a season-high five RBIs for the Trojans.  Poncia added a triple and a single.  Colman had a triple and an RBI.  Jorgensen and Boyd each had a hit and an RBI.  Harris and Mullins each recorded a single.

Cuch and Osborne each tallied a double for the Blue Hawks.  Skabo, Hignite and MacKay each had a hit.  MacKay and Osborne each collected an RBI.

DaSU outhit DiSU 9-6 in the game.  The Blue Hawks committed five defensive errors in the game.

Garrison Collier (W, 2-1) pitched a complete game victory for the Trojans.  He allowed two runs on six hits and struck out five DiSU's batters.

Gabriel Lizarraga (L, 2-4) recorded the loss on the mound for the Blue Hawks.  He pitched three innings and allowed nine runs (five unearned) on four hits.  Jonathan Koessl tossed two scoreless innings, yielding the Trojans to two hits.  Joey Buchtanan worked in the sixth inning, giving up one run on three hits.

Dakota State continues their nine-game home stand at Flynn Field this week as they host in-state rival Mount Marty (S.D.) in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon.  The first game is slated to start at 4 p.m.
