The Trojans swept the V-Hawks at Flynn Field as part of Senior Day, propelling to 15-6 and 9-6 victories.

The first home run came in the first game of the doubleheader where Ian Barker smashed a solo home run over the left field fence (2-0 DSU lead).

Holding on to a 3-2 lead in the bottom half of the sixth inning, the Trojans added two more runs for a 5-2 lead.  With bases loaded and two outs, Jake Harris blasted a grand slam over the right field fence on the first pitch to give DSU a 9-2 commanding lead.  Dakota State finished that inning with six runs scored.

The Trojans exploded for another six-run inning in the bottom eighth to increase their lead by nine runs, thanks to four home runs hit by Dakota State.  Jordan Hofer led off with a solo home run for 10-6 DSU lead.

After Tony Poncia reached on base by a walk followed by Harris' RBI double, Dakota State went on to hit three consecutive home runs as they stormed to a 15-6 lead.  Barker hit his second home run of the game with a 2-run home run, followed by back-to-back solo home runs by Jacob Arlt and Jamie Jorgensen.
