The Dakota State University men's cross country team remained in second place in the DAC cross country weekly rankings. The women's team ranks sixth.
The Trojan men's runners placed fourth in the tough Briar Cliff Invitational on Oct. 9. Black Hills State was second in the meet and ranks first in the conference rankings. Minot State is third, followed by South Dakota School of Mines fourth, Jamestown fifth, Dickinson State sixth and Valley City State seventh.
Dakota State men's cross country team received 22 votes and ranks No. 32 in the NAIA Men's Cross Country 'Top 25' poll, released on Wednesday.
On the women's side, the Trojans rank sixth in the weekly rankings. Black Hills State finished second at the Briar Cliff Invitational. The Yellow Jackets rank first in the conference weekly rankings. Jamestown and Minot State are tied for second, followed by South Dakota School of Mines fourth and Dickinson State fifth. Valley City State is seventh.
DSU will be off this weekend and returns back to action on Oct. 23. The Trojans will compete in the final regular season meet in Yankton, S.D. Dakota State will run in the Mount Marty/Graphic Edge Invitational.
The DAC Cross Country Conference Championships will be held on Nov. 5 in Jamestown, N.D.
