MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State (S.D.) continued their 10-game softball home stand Tuesday evening at Thue Softball Complex, hosting long-time rival Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.).  The Trojans broke a 4-4 tie with three runs scored in the bottom fifth to snap their six-game losing skid with a 7-4 game one victory over the Tigers.  DSU erased an early deficit and held off DWU in the second game by the score of 5-3 to complete the doubleheader sweep.

Dakota State improved their overall record to 13-24, earning their first home victories of the season.  Dakota Wesleyan fell to 12-27 overall record, losing their fifth straight game.  It was the first time since March 17, 2009 that the Trojans swept the season series with the Tigers (DSU swept a doubleheader at DWU that date).  This year, DSU went 4-0 record against DWU with a doubleheader sweep Tuesday and a pair of games in the Presentation (S.D.)
