MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State University (S.D.) volleyball head coach Amy Veenhof is proud to announce another setter from Greeley Central High School, Kendra Steffen. She signed the national letter-of-intent to continue her volleyball and education career t DSU this coming fall.
Steffen – 5-foot-4 – was a two-time All-Conference Second Team at Greeley Central High School. She was the leader in assists in the conference. And was titled Player of the Match for five games on MaxPreps during her senior year.
Steffen also lettered in soccer where she was a First-Team All-Conference selection in her senior year. She lettered in basketball, earning All-Conference Second-Team twice.
Steffen then went on to be a starting setter at Otero Junior college, piling up a total of 1,542 assists, 31 service aces and 634 digs in 79 career matches. Steffen ranked in the top three in her conference for assists both years at Otero and was named Athlete of the Week in 2016.
Kendra is the daughter of Jerry and Dolly of Greeley, Colo. She plans to study Health Science at Dakota State University.
