SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Dakota State (S.D.) wrapped up their regular-season outdoor track & field schedule on the second day of the 92nd Annual Howard Wood Dakota Relays at Howard Wood Field. Numerous athletes from middle school through college levels competed in the meet.
D'Artist Williams raced to a third-place finish in the men's 100-meter dash for the Trojans. He clocked a time of 11.17 seconds in the race. Bailey Ludens added a 13th-place finish with a time of 11.61 seconds. Kennan Kelly was 17th in 12.06 seconds, followed by Austin Row with a 19th-place finish in 12.39 seconds.
Brandon Schmit led Dakota State with a 10th-place finish in the men's discus throw. He threw a distance of 13.88 meters. Jobi McCreary was 13th in the women's discus, throwing a measurement of 31.36 meters.
Cameron Harming posted a personal-best time of 4 minutes, 3.08 seconds to earn 11th-place finish in the men's 1500-meter run for the Trojans. Alex Derr added a personal best time of 4:08.93 to place 20th. Taylor Hauge posted his season-best time of 4 minutes, 29.60 seconds to finish 33rd.
Dakota State prepares for the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday and Friday. The conference meet is hosted by the University of Jamestown (N.D.) at Al Cassell Field.
