NSAA PRESS RELEASE - Women's - Men's

MADISON, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) officially released their Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference and postseason awards Monday.  Eleven Dakota State (S.D.) earned the All-Conference recognition during the conference track & field meet held at Al Cassell Field in Jamestown, N.D.

Athletes earning All-Conference recognition must be in the top three individually and top two relay teams.

Austin Opdahl claimed the men's high jump for the sixth straight North Star conference meet (3 indoor, 3 outdoor) for Dakota State.  He tied the North Star outdoor conference meet of 1.99 meters (6 feet, 6.25 inches) to win the high jump title.

D'Artist Williams received North Star All-Conference recognition in four different events – all runner-up honors – at the meet for the Trojans.  He was second in the men's 100- and 200-meter races.  He was also a member of the DSU's 4 x 100-meter and 4 x 400-meter relay teams that earned second place honor.

The Trojan men's 4 x 800-meter relay team – Derr, Harming, Corey Hermann and Moeller – won the title after clocking a national qualifying time and NSAA outdoor conference meet time of 7 minutes, 48.97 seconds.  Their time was just less than .03 seconds of the NAIA's Provisional Standard 'B' qualifying time.
