MADISON, S.D. Geoff Schaab has officially became the full-time head coach of the Dakota State University baseball team.  He was the interim head coach for the 2017 spring season.

Two of his Trojan baseball athletes – Jalen Boyd and Smith Kemper – were named to North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Baseball All-Conference Honorable Mention, announced earlier this month.

Prior to arriving to Dakota State, Schaab served as the Head Coach, Associate Head Coach and Director of Baseball Operations with the Northern Virginia (NoVA) Fellowship of Christian Athletes travel (16-18 years old) baseball team, where his team rose from finishing 25th out of 26 teams in 2014 (2-17 overall record), to No. 8 the following season (19-14 overall record) and No. 2 in 2016 (19-8 overall record).

Schaab was also a regular instructor at local and regional baseball camps to include NoVA FCA Baseball Academy and at Messiah College as a hitting coach and infield instructor.

He is a native of Tonawanda, N.Y. and currently resides in Madison.
