The Dakota State University cross country teams gained recognition to the NAIA's Cross Country Top 25 poll released today (Wednesday).  Both men's and women's are second in the latest DAC's weekly rankings.

The Trojan men's cross country returned back to the NAIA's Top 25 as No. 19 with 251 votes.  Dakota State first and last appeared in the poll on Sept. 30 at No. 21.  The Trojans claimed the Briar Cliff Invitational team title last Saturday with four DSU's runners placing in the top 10.

On the women's side, the Trojans received 72 votes to the poll.  They are in the 30th place in the poll, five spots back in the NAIA's Top 25.  The Trojan women's runners finished third in the Briar Cliff Invitational last Saturday, one point behind current No. 21 Doane College (87-88).

The Trojans will be idle this week and return to action on Oct. 24 in the Mount Marty Invitational at Yankton, S.D.  The DAC Championships Meet will be held on Friday, Nov. 6 in Rapid City, S.D., hosted by South Dakota School of Mines.
