SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Dakota State University Trojan men's cross country team ran 'Under the Lights' Friday evening in the seventh annual Augustana (S.D.) Twilight meet.  A total of 280 men's runners completed the men's 4-mile run featured all collegiate levels including NCAA Division I, II, III as well as NAIA members at Yankton Trail Park.

DSU finished 23rd overall in the 26-team men's division.  NCAA Division II University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) won the team title.

Braden Curnow, who was the North Star All-Conference cross country runner last season, led the Trojans with a 117th-place finish.  He clocked a time of 21 minutes, 29.13 seconds in the race.  Cameron Harming placed 171st with a time of 22 minutes, 19.09 seconds.

Matthew Dunn made his collegiate debut after recording a time of 22 minutes, 40.25 seconds for Dakota State. 

A pair of DSU unattached runners made their first cross country meet for the Trojans.  Marlow LaRoche registered a time of 23 minutes, 45.47 seconds to finish 226th.  Nickolas Listrom added a 238th place finish in 24:15.77. 

Mattheu Cox, unattached runner for DSU, recorded a time of 24:40.09 to place 249th in his collegiate debut.  Jonathan Lein added a 253rd with a time of 24:47.98.

Dakota State returns home next Saturday (Sept. 9) as they host the 15th annual Herb Blakley Invitational.  The men's 8K race is set to run at 11:15 a.m. at the Madison Country Club.
