For the first time this season, the Dakota State University men's cross country is ranked in the NAIA Men's Cross Country Top 25 rankings released today (Wednesday). The Trojans were one of the two new teams entering in the NAIA Top 25. Dakota State ranks #21 with 207 votes.
Dakota State placed fifth out of 22 teams in the highly competitive Roy Griak Invitational last Saturday that included NCAA Division II and top quality NAIA schools. As a result, the Trojans replaced Black Hills State as a top spot in the DAC's weekly rankings.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences. The next poll will be released on Oct. 7.
