The Dakota State University Cross Country teams will travel to St. Paul, Minn. to run in the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday. The event is hosted by NCAA Division I University of Minnesota.
There will be approximately 25 teams or more in the women's and men's races. A total of 250-300 runners are expected in each race. There are two divisions at the Roy Griak Invitational. The Trojans will be competing in the Division II race. The Division II race is combined race with NCAA Division II schools and NAIA schools. The race will feature a couple NCAA Division II top-10 ranked teams in the nation as well as NAIA schools. Several local conferences and regional schools including Concordia (Neb.), Jamestown (N.D.), Minot State (N.D.), Northern State (S.D.) and Augustana (S.D.) will be participating in the event.
The women's race will run 6K at approximately 9:45 a.m. The men's follow after the completion of the women's race and will run 8K.
