MADISON, S.D. Kaden Hight of Dakota State (S.D.) was recognized by the conference for the third time this season as its Special Teams Player-of-the-Week, the sixth edition of the Dactoah Bank/North Star Athletic Association Football Player-of-the-Week was announced.

Hight – 5-foot-9 and 155 lbs. punter – continued his impressive punting in Dakota State's 20-14 overtime thriller at Jamestown (N.D.).  He recorded five punts for a total of 229 yards, an average of 45.8 yards per punt.  Two of his punts went inside the opponent's 20-yard line.  His two other punts went for a touchback.  He had a long punt of 56 yards in the game.

According to the DakStats-NAIA statistical website as of Monday, Hight ranks third in the nation in punts yards per attempt with an average of 44.4 yards.  He recorded 23 punts for a total of 1,021 yards for the Trojans.  Seven of his punts went inside the opponents' 20-yard line.  He registered a season-long punt of 76 yards at Saint Ambrose (Iowa) on Sept. 2.

Kaden is the son of Todd and Twila Hight of Pierre, S.D.  He is a freshman Elementary Education major at Dakota State University.

Dakota State (4-2 overall record, 2-1 North Star conference record) returns home Saturday evening.  The Trojans host Waldorf (Iowa) in a North Star conference battle at Trojan Field.  Kick-off is set for 6 p.m. as part of Manufacturing Night.
