McCOOK LAKE, S.D. – Dakota State (S.D.) men's cross country team earned a 12th-place finish with 299 points Saturday in the Briar Cliff (Iowa) Invitational at Adams Nature Preserve.  The Trojans had a pair of runners recording personal-best time in the cross country meet.

Northwestern (Iowa) was the top NAIA place-finisher in the men's cross country meet with 50 points.  Nolan Zimmer of LRC Racing captured the individual title with a time of 25 minutes, 15 seconds.  The men's cross country meet featured a total of 153 runners.

Maxwell Cruse posted his personal-record time of 27 minutes, 5 seconds to finish 25th for the Trojans.  Matthew Dunn added a 68th-place finish with a time of 28 minutes, 40 seconds.

Cameron Harming was 80th with a time of 29 minutes, 3 seconds for DSU.  Jonathan Lein registered a time of 31 minutes, 25 seconds to place 128th.

Mattheu Cox gained a personal-best time of 31 minutes, 49 seconds to place 132nd for the Trojans.  Corey Hermann was 138th with a time of 32 minutes, 19 seconds.

Dakota State runs in the final regular-season meet on Saturday, Oct. 21.  The Trojans head to Yankton, S.D. for the Mount Marty (S.D.) Invitational at Human Services (located on highways 81 and 50).
