Robert "Dusty" Andersen Memorial Award

The Robert "Dusty" Andersen Memorial Award is presented in memory of Dusty to the outstanding athlete in baseball or basketball.

Dusty Andersen participated and lettered in basketball and baseball (1966-1969). Dusty was very active in campus activities, including President of the Varsity Club, Student Senate member, a member of the Dakota State College Band, and the Physical Education Major's Club. Dusty was lost to Dakota State and Friends in an automobile accident homecoming evening 1969.

Bryce Snyder (2011)
Bryce Snyder was voted for the Dusty Andersen award for his outstanding accomplishments in men's basketball.  He was a member of the DSU men's basketball for four years.  Snyder helped the Trojans to their first winning season since 1993.

Snyder played 113 games in his career at Dakota State, which is the fifth most in the DSU men's basketball record book in total played.  His career average was 7.2 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.  Snyder recorded 53.3 percent from the field during his four-year career.

Bryce is the son of Jayson and Lana Snyder of Hartford, S.D.  He is a senior Business Administration major at Dakota State University.
