Ken Prorok, a native of Lincoln, Nebraska, enters his 8th season as the head coach for the Trojans and his 9th with the program. Since his arrival in 2006, the Trojan offense has rewritten the record books. In all his teams currently hold 9 different single season school records and members of the current roster rank in the top 10 in 18 different single season records and in the top 10 in 8 different career record categories.  Since 2011 the Trojans have also had three players set, tie, or be ranked with NAIA national single game performances including Hits in a game (6) Natasha Fritz (2011), Homeruns in a game (3) Emily Kulp (2011), and defensive Assists in a game (9) Taylor Mackey 2012.

During his tenure with the Trojan softball program he has had 31 selections to All-Academic Teams, 13 All-Conference Selections, 1 Conference Freshmen of the Year, 1 Conference MVP, and 4 Louisville Slugger NFCA All-Region selections. Prorok himself ranks as the winningest coach in school history.

He has been with the university’ athletic department for 14 seasons, from 2001-2005 he served as the Associate Head Baseball Coach for the Trojans where he helped guide them to three straight regional appearances and two Super Regional appearances. During his tenure with the baseball team, the Trojans were ranked nationally three times and had an amazing 23 All-Conference selections and 5 players receive All-American recognition.

Prorok played competitive fast pitch for 14 years. His teams qualified for 12 State Tournaments (1991-1999, 2006-2008), four A.S.A Regional tournaments (1995, 1997, 1998 and 2006), and four N.A.F.A. World Series events (1996, 1998, 2006, 2007). Prorok was selected to two Metro All-Star teams in 1997 and 1998 when he hit .457 and .449 respectively.

In addition to his softball duties, Prorok also serves as an instructor in the college of education and serves the athletic department as its game day administrator.

He resides outside of Madison with his wife Renee, step-daughters Brooke and Taylor and their son J.D.

Rachel Fricke will be entering her first year as an assistant softball coach for the Trojans. Fricke was a four-year letter winner at NCAA D-I University of South Dakota. While at USD Fricke played in 183 games starting in 179, posting a .972 fielding percentage and throwing out 25.1% of would be base stealers. She was named as the Great Western player of the week twice during her career. Rachel graduated from USD with a degree in Recreational Management with a Health and Coaching minor in 2010.

 Fricke will serve as the team’s Academic Coordinator, Infield Coach, and will assist in the everyday operations of the program; including recruiting and scouting.
