Outstanding Male Athletes

Mark Moeller (2015)

Moeller earned his second NAIA All-American status at Dakota State after placing fifth in the men's 800-meter run at the 2015 NAIA Indoor Track & Field national meet this past March.  He finished with just .004 seconds ahead of Sanj Powell of Southern University of New Orleans to earn the final spot in the men's 800-meter run national finals.  He clocked his personal record time of 1 minute, 53.39 seconds in the national finals.

Moeller also captured the 800-meter race at the 2015 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Indoor Track & Field Conference Championships last February.  He added another first-place from the conference indoor track meet where he anchored the 4 x 400-meter relay team.

Moeller was a member of the 4 x 100-meter relay team that finished third at the 2013 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, where he earned his first NAIA All-American status.  He was an integral member of the Trojans that won the first-ever NSAA Men's Cross Country Conference Championships.

Mark is the son of Jon and Ginger Moeller of Rosholt, S.D.  He is a junior Physical Education major at Dakota State University.
