Fatten Named DAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

(Madison, SD) -- The Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) Football has announced Trojan’s senior running back Andrew Fatten as DAC Offensive Player of the Week (September 15-21). In Trojans’ 33-13 non-conference win over Mayville State, Fatten rushed 24 times for 251 yards, 10.5 yards per attempt, and scored three touchdowns. He added one pass reception for six yards.

According to NAIA DakStats NAIA statistical website as of Monday, September 22, Fatten is the leading rusher in the nation with 155.3 rushing yards per game. In addition, he ranks seventh in the nation in all-purpose yards per game, 174.7 yards. Andrew, native of Placerville, CA, is the son of Brian Fatten and Karen MacPherson. Andrew majors in Physical Education at Dakota State University.

The Trojans (2-1) open DAC conference play on Saturday, September 27 as they face South Dakota School of Mines. Kickoff is slated at 1:30 pm at Trojan Field celebrating Trojan Homecoming Day.
