Kappenman to Compete for Trojan Women's Cross Country and Track & Field

(Madison, SD) - Dakota State University Women's Cross Country and Track & Field head coach Trent Mack would like to announce the signing of Paula Kappenman for the 2008-2009 season. She will compete in cross country and track & field for the Trojans.

Kappenman is a multi-sport athlete competing in volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track & field for Montrose High School. She ran a leg on the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 meter relays that hold the current school records. Her relay teams placed at the state meet in all three sprint relays, finishing as high as 4th in the 4 x 400 meter relay. Kappenman was twice voted as Most Valuable Player and Most Improved on the team.

Paula is the daughter of Brad and Karen Kappenman of Montrose, SD. Paula's planned major at Dakota State University is Graphic Design.
