Lady T's Basketball to Hold Intra-Squad Scrimmage Friday Night
First year Dakota State Lady T's basketball head coach Joe Reints has announced an intra-squad scrimmage on Friday night, October 17th, at the DSU Memorial Field House. The intra-squad scrimmage will be held 30 minutes following the volleyball match between Jamestown and Dakota State.
The scrimmage's headline is "Town versus Gown." The "Town" team will be coached by Dick Fawbush. Fawbush is the manager of the Stan's Men's and Women's Shop in downtown Madison and have been strong DSU Basketball supporter for many years. Dr. Douglas Knowlton, President of Dakota State University, will be the coach of the "Gown" team. The coaches will be selecting student-athletes for their team Friday at noon.
The Lady T's will travel to Sioux City, IA on Saturday, October 25, to participate in the Morningside Scrimmage Jamboree. On October 31st and November 1st, the Lady T's open their 2008-2009 campaign in Sioux City, IA at the Tyson Center/Gateway Arena, participating in the Tyson Classic (GPAC vs. DAC). The Lady T's will face the NAIA Division II defending champions Northwestern (IA) on Friday, October 31st at 4:00 pm. On Saturday, November 1st, the Lady T's will be facing their former coach Jeff Dittman and Hastings College at 2:00 pm.
